Finished and sent to my daughter (who, by the way, LOVED it!) This was a fun project using some amazing retro glamorous Cowgirl fabric from Alexander Henry line “Back in the Saddle”. I dolled it up with embroidery inspired by Sublime Stitching. So much fun!

Keeping me in stitches

Hello, lovies. I have a renewed passion – embroidery. I have used a little embroidery on the small pincushions I’ve made in the past but lately I have become obsessed with larger items. I will update you from time [...]

Best advice: Do Epic Shit!

It was on Charlie Gilkey’s website aptly named Productive Flourishing  that I first saw the phrase “Do Epic Shit!” and it has now become my mantra.  As artists, it does us no good to play small and wait around for our own “inner critics” and other people’s opinions to determine our success. I invite you [...]

Art of the letter

There is something about receiving a letter – not that I mind hearing from dear friends via email, mind you – it is the written word that captures my attention and, more often than not, my heart. I am so grateful that there are friends who know this about me. photo credit: LarimdaME
